He graduated as an electrical engineer in 1975, was awarded his GCC in 1980 and registered as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA in 1984. He received his MSc Eng. (Control Systems) in 1986. The first nineteen years of a 45 year career in engineering were spent in increasingly more responsible roles as an employee of Sasol, then a world class petrochemical company and the world leader in the oil from coal industry. Sasol was arguably the best possible environment for mastering his particular profession. Other than acquiring an MBL at UNISA in 1996, he has focused on design engineering over the last 26 years to become a doyen in his domain. |
