Core Profession:Chemical/Metallurgical Engineer

Short Profile

Process Engineer with PhD (Chemical Eng.) and Pr. Eng. (ECSA). After obtaining his BSc Hons and MSc Chemistry in Manchester UK, he began his career in SA in ’89 as a research chemist with Eskom, but it would be this country’s cornucopia of minerals that would keep him here until today. After three years as a research chemist, he did a conversion course to engineering in Canada, obtaining his PhD in engineering at Wits in ‘94 (Wits). His impressive CV would see him alternating between researcher, educator, process engineer and process plant operator – also in the chemicals industry, but mostly in the SA mining and minerals processing industry with its diversity of opportunities and challenges. He is now an independent process consultant, leveraging his immense knowledge and experience for the benefit of his clients.
