| Short Profile | This senior mechanical designer and draughtsman received a certificate in mechanical engineering from Pretoria West Technicon and passed his trade test as a Fitter and Turner at Olifantsfontein in ’87. He went on to obtain an AutoCAD Certificate and acquired a selection of other relevant computer skills. In 2013 he also obtained through after-hours remote studies a SAQA-recognised Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology from EIT, Perth, Australia. He has held the positions of Senior Mechanical Designer at WorleyParsons (TWP) and Principal Design Draughtsman at several similar companies. He is particularly proud of being Senior Designer on a R&D solar steam generation project for BBE and on a De Beers marine diamond mining ship for ADP Projects. |
