A doyen in the domain of project planning and control, without which mega projects would be intractable chaos, he has encyclopaedic knowledge of engineering project management, comprehensive skillsets, extensive experience and references from around the globe who will attest to his excellence. No doubt, being a highly talented, detail-orientated team leader made it all possible.

Soon after qualifying as a fitter and turner, by ‘86 he was supervising a machine shop that was doing light and heavy work in support of all major refinery shutdowns in the Durban area. The next step was to plan, schedule, do resourcing and expedite heavy mechanical manufacturing turnkey projects for boilers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and the like, before transitioning into project planning and eventually controls on offshore oil and gas projects. And the rest is history – a drumroll of planning and controlling multi-billion-dollar projects around the world.
