| Short Profile | This senior professional began work as design draughtsman (civil and structural) from ’84 to ’94 at Iscor while studying part time and obtaining his Diploma and then Higher Diploma Civil Engineering. BTech. Civil Engineering (Structural) soon followed and he was registered Pr. Tech. Eng. (ECSA). He became a specialist structural designer. From ’99 to 2002 he was appointed Manager Design and Draughting Services. Shortly after leaving Iscor and becoming a senior design engineer at an EPC/M company, he became responsible for engineering services. Since then, he has often been manager of engineering design and draughting services, but has always returned to his core role as civil structural design engineer. He has worked for different companies on a procession of large and challenging projects, predominantly in the petrochemical, coal, oil and gas industry, and mostly related to Sasol. He takes particular pride for his work on the Lake Charles project for Sasol. |
